Lic. Jose Enrique Perez

José Enrique Pérez Germán, Esq. is an attorney and partner of the firm. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from Universidad Católica Santo Domingo (UCSD), where he received the Cardenal Octavio A. Beras Research Recognition Award. He holds a Master’s Degree in Civil Law and Civil Procedure from Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD) and a Master’s Degree in Corporate Business Law from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM). He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Financial Management, further strengthening his strategic and financial expertise.

He is an authorized Court-Appointed Restructuring Conciliator under Law No. 141-15 on Restructuring and Liquidation of Companies and Individual Merchants. He has completed specialized studies in Intellectual Property, Labor Law, and Monetary and Financial Law.

Mr. Pérez serves as an Internal Quality Auditor and is a member of the Dominican Bar Association (License No. 29862-190-05). He is also a member of the Restructuring Commission of the Chamber of Commerce and Production of Santo Domingo (CCPSD), participating in regulatory reform initiatives related to the restructuring framework. Additionally, he has served as a speaker at the National School of the Judiciary on restructuring matters and is a member of the National Council of Tax Consultants (CONACI).

 

He has participated in complex corporate restructuring proceedings, including the cases of Munné, PAWA Dominicana airline, and Grupo Aldoca, acting both as conciliator and legal counsel. In these proceedings, he contributed to the successful approval of restructuring plans involving more than 3,000 creditors, as well as complex restructuring processes of economic groups, demonstrating extensive experience in multi-party negotiations and the structuring of sustainable corporate recovery solutions.
